An Ouigo company train has been trapped with more than 450 passengers inside this Wednesday afternoon in the Serra Llarga tunnel in Roda de Berà (Tarragona), as reported by company sources to the Catalan News Agency (ACN). ).
The Ouigo 6741 train was covering the route between Madrid and Barcelona and had to arrive at Sants station at 4:45 p.m., but according to the company it will arrive about four hours late. In total, 461 people, six crew members and a driver wait trapped inside for more than two hours.
The breakdown in this train does not cut traffic, but causes delays of at least one hour in the service. According to Civil Protection, the Ouigo and Adif companies were assessing “what is the best option to solve the incident”. Late in the afternoon, according to the 3/24 portal, Ouigo would have activated a train from Madrid to Tarragona to pick up the passengers and take them to Barcelona after towing the damaged train to this station.
