35 Local JNF Supporters Attend Global Conference in Pinellas County

In a heartwarming display of solidarity and support for Israel, 35 members of the Tampa Bay community recently gathered for the Jewish National Fund-USA’s 2024 Global Conference in Dallas. The Tampa Bay delegation joined a total of 2,500 participants from around the world in a meaningful event that celebrated their shared love for Zionism.

A Diverse Gathering of Supporters

The attendees at the conference came from a wide range of backgrounds, each united by their dedication to supporting Israel. Among the participants were philanthropists, members of the pro-Israel community from various faiths, long-time JNF-USA donors, clergy from the Rabbinical Summit, and young adults who took part in the High School and College Summits. This diverse group exemplified the strength and unity of those who stand in solidarity with Israel.

Stories of Resilience and Inspiration

Throughout the conference, participants had the opportunity to interact with Israelis who have faced challenges in their communities. From residents of areas near the Gaza border to those impacted by missile fire from Hezbollah in the north, the event provided a platform for these individuals to share their stories of resilience and perseverance. Civil defense officers, town leaders, American lone soldiers serving in the IDF, and even former Olympians like Peter Paltchik showcased the unwavering spirit of Israel in the face of adversity.

A Call to Action and Continued Support

Reflecting on her experience at the conference, Lynne Merriam, JNF-USA National Board Member and past president of the Tampa Board, expressed her renewed commitment to the organization. “Being with my Israeli family at the conference really showed the resilience of Israel,” she shared. Similarly, Nat Doliner, JNF-USA Tampa Co-president, emphasized the inspirational and informative nature of the event, urging others to participate in the future. As plans are already underway for the 2025 conference in South Florida, the call to support and stand with Israel remains stronger than ever.
