The National Police has arrested 13 people for their alleged participation in the crimes of belonging to a criminal group, injuries, damages, public disorder and hate. Those arrested belong to the Casuals, the most radical and violent faction of the Boixos Nois.

The events occurred last Sunday in Pamplona, ??coinciding with matchday 14 of the Santander League between CA Osasuna and FC Barcelona. Hours before the start of the game there was a violent attack on a hotel establishment in the town.

This bar used to be a regular meeting place for the Indar Gorri group —ultrtas from CA Osasuna— and that night it suffered numerous damages inside through the use of wooden sticks, iron bars and the throwing of flares. The members of the Boixos Nois who have been arrested, were hooded and dressed in dark clothing, and attacked several of the customers, seriously injuring some of them.

During the investigation, the agents have verified the previous planning and organization of this violent attack in which members of the Casuals de los Boixos Nois faction, residing in different parts of Spain and who traveled to the place to commit the attack, would have participated.

According to the researchers, the two groups mentioned are characterized by being politically antagonistic and by professing great hatred for each other. In this sense, the investigations have determined that the real motivation is justified by ideological reasons.

The Boixos Nois ultra group is strongly linked to the extreme right and even has neo-Nazi members in its ranks. Los Indar Gorri, for their part, is a group of the extreme left sympathetic to the nationalist movement in the Basque Country.

Both groups also stand out for having been involved in various altercations in recent months against different ultra groups with which they maintain sporting and ideological enmities, on many occasions, causing injuries or considerable damage.

The operation has been carried out by agents of the General Information Police Station and the Provincial Information Brigades of Pamplona, ??Alicante, Barcelona, ??Logroño and Valencia, under the direction of the head of the Examining Court number 5 of Pamplona. Investigators do not rule out making new arrests in the coming days.
