The nocturnal astronomical baptisms are a unique sensory experience and the Albanyà Observatory makes them available to everyone. The participants of the activity will enjoy an audiovisual tour of the firmament adapted to the meteorological circumstances, so that the activity is as enriching as possible. The aim of the experience, which features specially composed music by Pep Sala, is to be able to discover the secrets of this sky so pure –the only International Dark Sky Park in the State-, at all times of the year. For cold spring nights, the use of gloves, warm clothing and comfortable shoes is recommended. The experience includes sleeping and having lunch at the Costa Brava Hostel, in Llançà .
A route made and designed for those who want to live an experience at a different pace, without rushing. To enjoy beauty in every way, pedal through the beautiful landscapes of the Empordanet and include the tasting of a local wine, made from the heart. The route begins in Gualta and is covered with a burricleta, the rural electric bicycle that never tires. It passes through Pals, one of the most beautiful medieval towns in Catalonia, and reaches the Mas Geli vineyard, a unique spot where participants can learn about the project and taste four wines paired with cheeses and sausages.
Pirate legends do not only exist in the Caribbean Sea. From the 12th century to the 18th century, the Costa Brava suffered constant attacks from pirate and corsair ships. And the watchtowers, built near the coast, were used to monitor the arrival of a ship on the horizon and notify the people of the towns or farmhouses by means of messengers and signals. This guided hiking route will take the participants, from tower to tower, to learn about the history of the pirates of Calella de Palafrugell and its neighboring towns.
The Barranco de Nuria Inferior is short, intense, but does not leave you indifferent. Located between Queralbs and Vall de Núria, within the Natural Park of the Cabeceras del Ter and Freser, it is a ravine embedded and very often where there are several rappels, including one of 20 meters fully flown, jumps and slides. It is a spectacular canyon, medium level and very complete, ideal for contemplating and interacting with nature, in the middle of the Eastern Pyrenees.
The Aiguamolls de l’Empordà Natural Park is one of the most unique spaces on the Costa Brava due to its great extension and its diversity of flora and fauna. It is an authentic mosaic of differentiated ecosystems with rivers, sea, ponds, wetlands, beaches and sandbanks, lagoons… and the habitat of more than 300 birds, such as storks, kingfishers, the collverd or roncaire duck, which coexist with other animals. . Ribes de Freser is one of the most touristic towns in Ripollès. Even so, it is not so common to see it from the heights thanks to a spectacular via ferrata. It is a discovery itinerary that allows you to reach difficult areas safely, ascending to the Ribes granòfir, of volcanic origin and unique in Catalonia. The via ferrata, traced to the rock face, allows the user to self-belay to a protection system (lifeline cable) against falls, using an energy absorber, carabiners, harness and helmet. It has elements to help progression such as steps, as well as hand or foot grips.
