Maia, Marieta, Carla, Marc, Pau, Mariona, Joaquín, Fran, Jaime, Álvaro, Víctor and Nuria are the protagonists of the Talita 2024 solidarity calendar, which will be distributed on Monday, December 11 with La Vanguardia. The Foundation, dedicated to the integration and inclusion of children and young people with intellectual disabilities, yesterday presented its solidarity almanac with which it tries to raise awareness in society with the help of celebrities.

The singer Miki Núñez (January), the actress Alba Flores, the artist Jaume Plensa (March), the writer Alice Kellen (April), the MotoGP rider Maverick Viñales (May), the creator of contents Nuria Casas (June), the FC Barcelona exporter Juan Carlos Unzué (July), the researcher Elisenda Eixarch (August), the former basketball player Juanma Iturriaga (September), the mentalist Anthony Blake (October), the actor Octavi Pujades (November ) and chef Albert Adrià (December). All of them posed for the photographer Arnau Dalmases.

The RAC1 journalist Jordi Basté has been the master of ceremonies for the presentation of the 2024 calendar “which is part of my family’s Christmas, which I hang on the refrigerator and which I was lucky enough to appear in 2020. You don’t know the excitement What he did to me and on top of that, the first one, the month of January, was my turn.” Many users and friends of the Talita Foundation and of course the children and young people who star in the almanac with their families attended the presentation at the H10 Art Gallery hotel in Barcelona. Only Jaime and Álvaro were missing because they lived in Madrid.

Basté was calling the protagonists, who, overwhelmed by being the center of attention, most answered with monosyllables –Marc and Mariona even wanted to take over the microphone–, but they all agreed that they had liked the experience, that it had not been very tiring to pose for the photos and that the famous person with whom they had been photographed was very nice.

Of the celebrities chosen for this year, the researcher Elisenda Eixarch and the actor Octavi Piujades attended. The doctor confessed that appearing in a calendar like this “is putting research at the same level as all these famous people.” And she added that in Catalonia there is a lot of talent “but tools are needed for research and social actions like those developed by the Talita Foundation.”

Octavi Pujades, for his part, assured that when the calendar was proposed to him he said yes immediately because “it is the law to participate in initiatives like this.” And in response to Dr. Eixarch he said “more people like you are needed, because research is the driving force of the country.”

Xavier Arasanz, secretary of the Talita Foundation’s board of trustees, pointed out that this year 90,000 calendars have been published and pointed out that although it will be distributed together with La Vanguardia, on Monday the 11th, the objective is to raise funds to help families with children with intellectual disabilities. in social, educational and labor inclusion. For this reason, the institution requests a donation of 7 euros for each calendar to the account number ES04 2100 1009 9402 0009 1272 or Bizum (01044). It can also be purchased by calling 934 344 355 or through www.fundaciontalita.org.
