Six fire crews from the Valencia Provincial Fire Consortium have been working since this afternoon to put out the fire that started in a recycling plant in San Antonio de Requena.
The notice was received shortly before four in the afternoon and firefighters from Requena, Torrent, volunteer firefighters from Cofrentes and Sinarcas, an officer on duty, the sector chief and the sergeant from Requena went there, while working also an air means of the Generalitat Valenciana.
As reported by the Consortium, the fire affects the outside area, which accumulates tons of recycling material such as bales of pressed plastic. At the moment there are no ships affected and firefighters are working to protect them.
