El Hormiguero did not make a bridge and this Wednesday had the visit of an actress very loved by viewers, Malena Alterio. The protagonist of one of the most important Spanish series of all time, Here there is no one who lives, landed on Pablo Motos’ program to present her latest film, Let Nobody Sleep, for which she has obtained several Goya nominations.

However, during the talk, Alterio did not hesitate to remember one of the worst professional moments of his professional career. It is about the “most humiliating” casting and how the director of this project approached her. Some time later, the actress triumphed in No one lives here.

The character of Belén, in Here there is no one who lives, has given Malena Alterio many professional joys. This is how he explained it to Pablo Motos in El Hormiguero, where he also wanted to make it clear that there came a time when the success of the series surpassed all the actors and they couldn’t even leave the house.

“The level of popularity began to grow a lot. It was a consequence of the fact that your work was working very well, but at the same time it was shocking, invasive,” she said honestly. This happened in 2003, but before this fiction catapulted him to fame, Alterio, like many actors, had to go through many castings.

In this regard, Pablo Motos praised the “resistance” of the actors in these tests and wanted to know which had been “the most screwed up of all the castings.” To which Alterio replied: “I don’t know if he was the most screwed up, but he was the most humiliating.”

Then, the Argentine explained that everything happened years ago, long before the success of Here there is no one who lives. “It was to do an advertisement and there were a lot of us, the casting director came up and seeing so many people he said he would start pointing out those who had no chance,” the actress recalled.

“I was trying not to look, but suddenly he tells me: ‘You, get out.’ She told me and another, two out of a hundred. And I said: ‘But why?’ It was terrible,” she said. “Too bad… I hope that man is watching the program,” Motos added. Here Alterio threw some words as revenge to the director in question: “I hope you’re watching it, look where I am…”.
