A new blow. Another start over. Ansu Fati will have to be away from the playing fields again for a long period. Roberto de Zerbi, Brighton coach yesterday confirmed the worst possible prognoses regarding his injury. The Barça youth player will miss three months of competition and will not return until at least March.

Officially, no timeout period had been established for Ansu, who was injured in the match against Nottingham Forest, although during the week, De Zerbi already feared that he would be “down for quite some time.”

At a press conference yesterday, De Zerbi explained what was happening: “The news about Ansu Fati is that I think he needs three months from the first day of the injury to recover,” he said before facing Burnley.

The coach did not hide his sadness at losing one of the most important players on his team. “It’s bad news for us because he was playing better, he understood the idea better,” were the words of the coach who has taken Brighton to Europe. And he stated: “I’m sorry for him, I’m sorry for the team.”
