Zara expands its empire. With its line of cosmetics and perfumery already consolidated, the textile giant has decided to try its luck in a new sector: hair. Inditex’s leading brand is betting this year on literally shining from head to toe, not only with its sequin dresses and shiny accessories, but also with new hair products.
For the occasion, the brand has put itself in the hands of the creative director and stylist Guido Palau, who has formulated, curated and designed a small capsule line with products and accessories to decorate your hair. “It’s makeup for your hair,” Palau explains in a press release and adds that “with these products you can give your hair a different and fun look for a night out.”
The collection, which is now available in Zara physical and online stores since November 30, includes two hairdressing products and two hair accessories.
Inspired by the shine of eyeshadows and highlighters, Gold gel highlights the natural hair color. To create this product, the professional says, he was inspired by the way light hits the hair and the shine that is reflected through the light. “The gel emphasizes the shine, and a more or less intense effect can be achieved by adding a greater or lesser amount of product,” he adds.
Palau defines it as “sophisticated and subtle.” The Gold Glitter Spray is the perfect finishing touch to finish off a party hairstyle. To apply it, the professional advises doing it in layers until you obtain the desired effect.
The line is completed by the Gold comb and gold hairpins for better hold of the hair and also to create the characteristic hairstyles of the 1920s that are again a trend today.
For the big launch, Zara has had one of the most famous faces on the catwalks. Topmodel Kaia Gerber becomes the new image of this special campaign and lets her hair fill with shine to demonstrate the effect created by Palau’s new products for Zara.
