Miró, Plensa, Dalí, Casas, No nell, Tàpies, Picasso… and also the very new digital art. For the fourth consecutive year, the Círculo Ecuestre opens a window to art for the people of Barcelona.

The Ecuestre has emptied its rooms to, for five days, from today until Sunday, host the proposals of 15 gallery owners from the city, but also from Madrid or Mallorca. The Círculo has made the most exclusive art available to citizens, although, yes, By invitation.

“We are part of the G-16, which makes up the main clubs in the city. All the presidents met and agreed to invite our members to this meeting point with modern and contemporary art,” explains Enrique Lacalle, president of Ecuestre.

Although in this fourth edition, Lacalle has decided to go a little further and has also introduced an exhibition of digital art with reference artists: Pep Salazar, head of Art Digital by OFFF, has been in charge of bringing together works by Refik Anadol, Diatomic and Birgit Palma among others, which are shown on the third floor of the club in full resolution thanks to the screens provided by Bang

In the By invitation there are “extraordinary works,” explains Carlos Durán, director of the Senda gallery. But the collector does not live by looking alone, which is why the initiative includes a cycle of conferences that will take place in parallel to the exhibition and will feature the participation of Teresa Ybarra, Mercedes Basso and Sergio Vila-Sanjuán.

And there are more plans. By invitation, which has already taken a step in that direction, wants to open next year to gallery owners from all over Spain and abroad. In addition, the Tàpies year will be celebrated with an original proposal: the exhibition at the Ecuestre of the works of the Barcelona painter belonging to the private collections of the club members.
