The National Police is investigating the attack suffered on Thursday by a young man on the platform of the Plaza Castilla metro stop in Madrid, supposedly by a group of people who also threatened him with a knife.
The agents of the Mobile Brigade have taken over the investigations and, although they do not rule out any hypothesis, they are considering the possibility that members of youth gangs could be involved in the attack, police sources informed Efe this Friday.
The events took place around one in the afternoon on Thursday on a platform at the Plaza Castilla metro stop, when the young man was approached by a group of people.
According to witnesses of the events, those involved, also young people, scolded him, intimidated him with a knife – which in the end they did not use – and hit him, causing him minor injuries.
The alleged attackers have not yet been identified and are being sought by the police in Madrid.
