In La Vanguardia Readers’ Photos we can see the Sant Pere Cathedral in Vic accompanied by lenticular clouds.

We can observe the white clouds with the last lights of the sun over the cathedral and, also, other reddish ones after the sun sets on the horizon, with the street lights already on.

The Cathedral of Sant Pere is located in the beautiful historic center of the capital of Osona and, if the lenticular clouds accompany it, then even more beautiful.

Lenticular clouds are called that because they are shaped like a lentil, as their name indicates, or there are also those who see them as a saucer or converging lens.

They are stationary and form mainly at high altitudes in mountainous areas and isolated from other clouds. Among mountaineers these clouds are considered a harbinger of a storm.
