The Port of Tarragona has completed a program of cultural, artistic, sports and family activities for this Christmas under the title “Christmas Dream”.

Since the starting signal of the Port’s Christmas program with the lighting of the lights in the Serrallo and Moll de Costa neighborhood, the Port is committed to creating spaces to develop creativity, sustainability and cooperation, where all family members can take part in the creation of a magical, innovative and sustainable environment.

All activities are free of charge and take place in different areas of the Moll de Costa, Arxiu del Port, Museu del Port, Teatret del Serrallo, Es-cala Reial, Tinglados and Pergola del Ser-rallo. Until January 6, a hundred cultural, artistic and sporting events will fill it

The lighting of the maritime façade, with spaces such as the “El Bosc charming” space and the “El Mar de lum” exhibition in Shed 2 in the Moll de Costa, fill the streets with color with an installation completely powered by 100% green energy .

Christmas in the Port of Tarragona is also characterized by promoting artists from the territory, establishing synergies with cultural and artistic initiatives that move through the city and a closer environment. And this year, Port Christmas plays with the concepts of substance and form as a recreational and environmental awareness strategy with activities and elements that invite the attending public to take care of our planet through recycling activities, reuse of materials, reinvention and revolution in spaces with activities that promote creativity, sustainability and cooperation.

This year, the Christmas Concert will be performed by the sisters Judit and Meritxell Neddermann. The two singers will present a concert of popular Christmas carols inspired by their work “Present”. The album is a revision of popular Catalan Christmas carols with the Neddermann touch. Notable musicians such as Ferran Savall or the sisters Ahyvin and Ahylin Bruno collaborate. Meritxell and Judit, born into a family of musicians, have made a name for themselves in the Catalan musical scene, each one charting different paths, and will perform on December 23 at Tinglado 1 of the Moll de Costa. The event is free to enter with an invitation that can be obtained on the Entradium website.

These are the most representative spaces and activities this Christmas in the Port of Tarragona:

The royal magatzem returns to welcome the tireless work of the royal pages to ensure that everything flows in the best possible way in the preparation of the gifts. From December 27 to January 27.

Shed 1 becomes the toy factory where anything is possible. Workshops, shows, giant games, baby space, face painting. This space will host a different theme every day (circus, music, magic and stories) and a different objective in the workshops in order to help the Three Wise Men have all the toys prepared with recycled or recovered materials. You can also take magical rides on the Swallow of the Three Wise Men, with limited capacity by reserving on the Entradium website.

One of the activities that children are most excited about is Christmas face painting. Children will be able to paint themselves with the colors of their favorite characters and will enjoy their imagination in the hands of long-time professionals such as theme park makeup artists. And for the more party-goers, and for the joy of their parents, the Tinglado 1 square offers vespers at 7 p.m. a dose of rhythm with performances by different DJs.

From December 27 to 30.

This place will become a conceptual space with an immersive setup to enhance visual, tactile and auditory sensations where the protagonists are the visitors who are invited to take a trip through the seabed until reaching the surface, in the Port of Tarragona. From December 27 to January 30.

The artisans of the territory set up their stalls to offer their works and products in a very special environment, under the “carpets of lights” that cross the Moll de Costa next to the sea forming the “Passeig dels Estels”. Co-organized: Tarraco Crea and Puerto Tarragona.

Gastronomy also has an appointment in the “Christmas of Dreams”. The public who comes to Moll Costa will be able to enjoy different restaurant offers with local products. Come and enjoy the vermouths, beers and food trucks. Artisan products from the territory. Co-organized: Bodega Gerard, Tarraco Crea and Puerto Tarragona.

The Port transforms the outdoor space of Shed 1 into a space for sustainable activities. Bicis Boges is a collection of extravagant bicycles that has traveled throughout the peninsula and has been present at numerous fairs and festivals. In addition, the Tinglado square will have another musical atmosphere this year with a different DJ from Tarragona every day

The Christmas program includes activities scheduled in other facilities at the Moll de Costa in the Port of Tarragona to add magic, environmental values ??and solidarity…

The Teatret del Serrallo will be the protagonist of two of the most celebrated and magical moments of the Christmas holidays: the centenary equipment of the Serrallo will host the Arrival of the kings of the East. And also “The Keys Tio”, organized by the entity of the same name to once again screw up the biggest and most irreverent tio in our entire country.

The Museum of the Port of Tarragona hosts two activities related to the protection of the natural environment. You can now visit the exhibition organized by the NGO Good Kharma Proyecto entitled “More fish than plastics in the sea” and, on December 28, it is organizing the Escape Room “Help us save the Mediterranean”, as well as Workshops manuals “A Mariner’s Christmas” (December 22) with fables linked to different spaces of the Museum. The Archivo del Puerto also joins activities during the Christmas calendar with the Storytelling “Els secrets de l’Archiu” (January 3) and three editions of the escape room “El Misteri de l’Archivera” (January 4).

The solidarity nature of Christmas is reflected in activities such as the arrival of a boat from the Open Arms organization to the Escales Reials to commemorate the 75th anniversary of the declaration of Human Rights and the celebration of La Marató de TV3 in Tinglado 1 (December 17) and the different activities organized in its surroundings to raise funds, such as the solidarity song by the Cor Corxera or the Solidarity Run and Walk (Registration on the Athleticevents.net website). Sexual and reproductive health (SSIR) will be the focus of the next edition of La Marató. It will be the first time that La Marató is dedicated to this topic, which, according to health professionals, encompasses the set of pathologies that most affect the population, in all aspects of life and throughout life.
