The death of singer Carlos Marín in 2021 left millions of fans around the world heartbroken. The artist, who belonged to the band Il Volo for many years, died after contracting the coronavirus, more specifically the Delta variant. Although he fought tooth and nail to cling to life, the pneumonia that the virus caused him was devastating.

The artist’s entourage was shocked by his death, since he was only 53 years old. His widow, Geraldine Larrosa, had a really bad time with the loss of his love. Two years later, the woman has confessed to the media that she still has a hard time coming to terms with Marín’s death and that she misses him every day of her life. ”I’m not happy. I have my crises (…) Today I was just with friends and I said that I still don’t believe it,’ she commented.

His last public appearance has also given a lot of talk because it has confirmed that the war with the family of the deceased is still going on and that they continue fighting for a flat they had in common. “I claim what is in the will, which is my apartment and that’s it. I have never demanded that they pay as they say, it is a lie, a rotten lie. There is universal insurance and you have to pay with that insurance and period. But that’s it. If it has to be a legacy, it has to be delivered,” the singer said before the microphones of Europa Press.

The woman lives in the apartment that Marín apparently left as an inheritance, which is valued at 700,000 euros. According to her, the relatives of the former member of Il Volo demand that she pay a sum of money, but she has declared that it is a matter of insurance and that she does not understand why they treat her with so much anger and hatred when she shared her life with the artist for years.

Geraldine made it clear that she does not understand the family war and that she has never caused any bad situation or tension with anyone. Additionally, she explained that they have tried to take her Instagram down twice and that she is having problems with her stage name.

It should be said that the couple ended their relationship in 2009 after 20 years together. However, they always maintained a beautiful friendship. Decades later, in confinement, the lovers decided to give themselves a second chance, but Marín died after months. To this day, Geraldine speaks of Marín as ”the love of her life”.
