Jennifer Love Hewitt has managed to win the public’s affection throughout her entire career. The actress, who started on the Disney Channel show Kid Incorporated in 1989, could not imagine what she would end up becoming years later. After appearing in several series and films, the American landed the role of a lifetime.

In 2005 she started Ghostbusters, a series in which she played a woman who could talk to spirits. From then on her fame grew until her final five years later. Since 2018 she has participated in the series 9-1-1 and now she has more than 1.5 million followers on Instagram. And it has been on this social network where she has had more than one problem.

If something has become clear from watching his networks, it is that he likes to publish videos very often explaining his experiences. In them, he tries to find the right light and the perfect angle so that it looks as good as possible. However, one day she had no choice but to use one of the filters provided by Instagram, and from then on criticism rained down on her.

“But… I remembered you with a different face! Always pretty… but different”, “I think someone else said it well… Why isn’t your face you? Your nose, eyebrows and lips are so different …” or “Did she undergo plastic surgery? She doesn’t look like the same person,” are some of the comments she has been receiving in some publications. Something for which she has not taken long to explode.

“Aging in Hollywood is really difficult. You can’t do anything right,” the 44-year-old actress said on the Indise of You podcast. “I was doing my hair and I didn’t have a hint of makeup on. So, I put a filter on. I didn’t really think about it,” she said, referring to the filter’s publication. And the use of these tools is normalized on social networks.

“A group of people said: Jennifer Love Hewitt is unrecognizable so she resorted to filters because she doesn’t want us to know how bad she looks now, at 40 years old,” she continued explaining, hurt.

The actress has reported that this scrutiny of her life and her physique seems “crazy” to her. And upon seeing all the negative comments she made towards her, she did not hesitate to change the title of the publication to go against all those who criticize her for her appearance. “A lot of people said I look different. I look the same as always. I couldn’t look more natural… Filters don’t change you that much,” she noted in the description.

Something that only served to generate more criticism. “I realized that I can’t do anything right,” she said on the podcast. However, and despite the disappointment she feels about it, it is not the first time, and it seems that it will not be the last, that she claims in an interview her right to age like anyone else.
