Infanta Elena celebrated her 60th birthday this Wednesday surrounded by her closest family members. The royal family has met at an exclusive Madrid restaurant called Pabú. Kings Felipe and Letizia, the emeritus Juan Carlos and Sofía, and a large part of the Borbón and Grecia family attended the event.

Pabú opened its doors in the capital very recently. Located near the Santiago Bernabéu stadium, this restaurant is in the hands of Coco Montes, a chef who has delighted Infanta Elena and her family with a very special lunch.

Pabú’s cuisine is characterized by making use of seasonal organic products, which is why its menu is not fixed and changes every day, becoming a gastronomic experience.

Its owner, Coco Montes, has extensive training in cooking and pastry, inside and outside the country. Montes only cooks with the products available on the day, in addition to making bread, ice cream and pastry doughs at home.

Pabú has walls full of works of modern art, vintage furniture and a personal wine cellar, with a menu that, like the food, changes. Of course, Montes is in charge of offering champagne at all times, one of his weaknesses.

The restaurant offers 2 menus: one called Paté (€150) which includes 1 appetizer, 2 starters, 3 main dishes and 2 desserts and another called Bubú (€110), with 1 appetizer, 1 starter, 2 main dishes and 2 desserts.
