Aleix Puig, co-founder and president of Vicio, the hamburger company that has become a model of success and a benchmark for delivery, stars in the new episode of the Stay to eat podcast. With him we talked about the personality of entrepreneurs and the future of restaurants or eating habits at home.
Puig, who was the winner of one of the editions of Master Chef and who during the pandemic took advantage of the opportunity with his partner to create a company that does not stop growing, recognizes that they thought they were a family and over time they realized that “in the family, everyone has their own and in the company what we are is a team and unconditionality cannot exist.”
– Everything about the Christmas lots. The tradition of giving gifts to employees on these dates dates back to Ancient Rome, although the boom in Christmas baskets in our country occurred in the second half of the 20th century. Rosa Molinero digs into those origins and also reviews how those batches that remain today, although very different, have changed.
– Doctor Ruscalleda. The cook from Sant Pol de Mar has been awarded an honorary doctorate this week by the University of Barcelona surrounded by her professional friends. Gerard Guerrero attended the event and listened to Ruscalleda’s committed speech, which began by confessing: “Not even in the most surreal dreams that I have had and continue to have, would I have imagined receiving this honor.”
– “The vintner and the turkeys wish you a Merry Christmas.” This is how the most diverse professions congratulated the holidays at the beginning of the 20th century. Domingo Marchena reminds us of this in his series En su ink, illustrated on this occasion with beautiful Christmas cards. The Comer team joins in with those best wishes for these dates: enjoy and share.
– Canfranc Express. On the railway tracks next to the spectacular Royal Hildeway hotel in Canfranc (Huesca) is the Canfranc Express restaurant, which has recently entered the star club and has become the only establishment with a Michelin star in Spain that can be enjoyed in a train car.
– Roasted chicken with tangerines. Ana Casanova proposes this recipe that fits perfectly with these Christmas dates. With affordable meat and seasonal fruits, served on beautiful tableware, it can be a success in the days ahead.
