This Friday, before the start of the Christmas holidays, will be marked by the wind, with very strong gusts on the peaks of the Pyrenees, under the Ebro and Ampurdán; due to the rains in the eastern Canary Islands; and due to an increase in maximum temperatures, according to the forecast of the State Meteorological Agency (Aemet).

It will rain in the Canary Islands, with precipitation that could be locally heavy in the afternoon and occasionally accompanied by storms on the eastern islands. There will also be cloudy skies with weak to moderate rains in the Cantabrian area and northern Galicia.

In the rest of the Peninsula and the Balearic Islands, anticyclonic weather will predominate in recent days, although with probable morning mists in the Tagus and Guadiana valleys and especially on the northern plateau.

The agency also expects an increase in maximum temperatures this Friday, which will rise more sharply in the southeast of the peninsula; descending on the northern plateau, again because of the fog. The minimums will increase in Levante and the southeastern third of the peninsula, with few changes in the rest. Moderate frosts are expected in the Pyrenees, the Central and Iberian systems and the southeastern mountains.

According to the Aemet forecast, strong gusts of wind and waves are also expected for this Friday, which will put seven autonomous communities at risk (yellow notice) and significant risk (orange notice), while the Canary Islands will have a warning for precipitation.

Specifically, Girona, Lleida, Tarragona, Huesca and Zaragoza will be at risk due to strong gusts of wind that may reach up to 90 km/h, while Castellón (with an orange warning) will have a significant risk due to winds that may reach 100 km /h.
