At the beginning of March we received news that a Spanish woman had been the victim of multiple sexual assault in India when she was traveling through the country on a motorcycle with her partner.
Yesterday, the woman victim of the attack, Fernanda, broke her silence for the first time after the attack. She has done so in a publication of hers on her Instagram account in which she has attached two videos and two images.
In the two videos Fernanda appears speaking and thanking, first of all, the people who have helped them during this difficult time they have been through: “Thank you all for the messages, for the support and for the concern.”
“After everything that happened, the truth is that I didn’t know what to post,” says the woman on her Instagram account in which, together with her husband, Vicente, they post content from the trips they take around the world by motorcycle.
The couple has received many messages and, as they explain, there are still many unread. “I’m sorry because I haven’t responded to all of you yet,” Fernanda apologizes, and adds: “All the support we have received has helped us a lot.”
“I want to tell you that life goes on and that there will always be tricks, but it all depends on how you face things,” Fernanda declared. After everything she has had to face, the woman still sees positivity: “I think life is a gift, it has to be taken advantage of and enjoyed to the fullest.”
Before finishing, Fernanda wanted to highlight that, although throughout our lives there will not always be perfect moments and we may come to think that there is no solution for certain things, we must move forward: “Everything has a remedy except for death and while you’re alive, everything will be solved.”
Before saying goodbye, the woman assured that both she and her husband will continue the trip around the world that they began more than five years ago with their motorcycles.
