Last March, Vélez was shaken by a young journalist’s complaint against four soccer players for sexual abuse. An event that would have occurred in the early morning of March 3 in room 407 of the Hilton Hotel, in the city of San Miguel de Tucumán, after Fortín’s visit to Atlético Tucumán for the League Cup.

The players Sebastián Sosa – the only one on parole -, Braian Cufré, Abiel Osorio and José Florentín – currently all under house arrest -; They were named as perpetrators of the crime and, until now, only the victim’s lawyer, Patricia Neme, had told the gruesome details of what happened. Now, it is the victim herself who has spoken.

For the first time, the journalist, who identifies herself as “Luli”, offers her version of the events. A hard and very personal testimony, which the Todo Noticias (TN) channel has obtained and which was broadcast in full this past Monday. In her story, the journalist confirmed everything she had said in her statement months ago, in addition to giving details about what happened in the hotel room.

According to the complaint and Luli confirms in her statement, she had arranged to meet Sosa, and when she arrived, she met him and the other three players. They all shared “cans of beer” while they chatted and “then they offered him fernet”, a bitter herbal liquor of Italian origin very popular in Argentina.

At that moment, she “started to feel bad, very dizzy” -Luli even went so far as to say that there was some substance in that drink that left her defenseless-; and, when she lay down on one of the beds, she would have been sexually abused without any consent.

The journalist pointed directly to Cufré, Florentín and Osorio as the material authors of the group rape and noted that Sosa “was sleeping.” When she reacted, Luli claims that she found Florentín and Cufré abusing her at the same time. She maintains that Cufré grabbed her by the hair and forced her to perform oral sex on him while Florentín raped her from behind her.

After this horrible event, the 24-year-old journalist claims that she stayed stranded while Florentín and Cufré went to play in the casino. “I was left lying on the bed without fully understanding what was happening. I started bleeding. As best I could I crawled to the bathroom to clean myself. “I came back and jumped down again because I was still dizzy and couldn’t find my clothes,” the young woman reveals.

“There I noticed that Sosa was still or seemed to be asleep and Osorio was playing the game as if nothing had happened. I began to reproach him for what his friends had done to me and how he did not intercede to prevent them from raping me. Suddenly, when I thought that the worst was already had happened, Osorio jumped from one bed to the other and began to rape me too.”

The journalist plans to go to the end, and despite the fact that the four players are already separated from the team; With Vélez definitively terminating all of their contracts and in prison, she does not plan to stop until the process is over. “I am convinced that I will have justice because the truth is one and it is mine.”
