Last Saturday, December 23, the EU Mataró 3×3 Christmas Tournament was held with great success. 16 straight hours of competition in which 50 teams were able to enjoy a great day of basketball at the Casal, Palau Josep Mora and La Gàbia facilities in Mataró.
The event had the support of sponsors such as IluroPark, Bosc Vertical or the Miracle nightclub, which offered attractive prizes for the players present at this 3×3 Christmas basketball festival.
Nine teams from the club’s 3×3 academy stood out notably in the competition, demonstrating their ability and skill on the field. The Mataronesian organization is betting heavily on 3×3 basketball and events like this help to add new followers to its academy focused specifically on this modality.
The day before the tournament was also attractive, with the official presentation of the UE Mataró teams, a raffle for sponsor baskets and an afternoon of leisure dedicated to the youth team. This event offered moments of fun and relaxation for participants before entering the competitive 3×3 day.
The diversity of participants, which included teams from various clubs and entities in Catalonia, offered a festive atmosphere in which enjoying basketball always took precedence. UE Mataró is proud to have organized a successful event that not only promoted healthy competition, but also camaraderie and passion for 3×3 basketball during this holiday period when the official leagues take a break.
