The abrupt cancellation of Martínez y Hermanos, the program that Dani Martínez has presented on Movistar Plus for four seasons, left the Leonese actor and comedian without a permanent project on television. It was last December 21 when the last installment of a space was broadcast that, now, it has been known that it will return to the small screen.
Mediaset has acquired the broadcasting rights of the format produced by Fremantle, which premiered in April 2022 on the payment platform. This marks Martínez’s return to the communication group to which he has remained linked for a decade, with formats such as Got Talent Spain, The Contest of the Year or Dani
The program will thus jump to free-to-air television throughout the next year 2024, as announced by the presenter himself in a video published through his social profiles. Specifically, Cuatro will be the network in charge of broadcasting it, which represents a “move” as Martínez reflected in the audiovisual piece.
“We are moving to Martínez y Hermanos. Where are we going? In 2024, you will be able to see Martínez y Hermanos openly. Where? In Cuatro, we are going to Cuatro!”, the comedian announced in the video, before to answer an alleged call from former US President Barack Obama as one of the new guests of the program.
In this way, Dani Martínez returns to the network where he has already presented other formats such as The Contest of the Year, between 2018 and 2021, or Dani
His departure from the communication group, to which he remained linked through his role as a jury on Got Talent Spain, coincided with the launch of Martínez y Hermanos on Movistar Plus. Now, the news of his move to Cuatro has come just five days after his last broadcast on the platform, which took place on the 21st.
