We are about to say goodbye to 2023, and days of partying and celebration are surely coming to welcome the new year. If you want to end this in the most surprising way, take note of our special selection of wines so you can celebrate New Year’s Eve in style and start 2024 on the right foot.

Pablo Soldavini is the creator of this wine and a good connoisseur of the area after his career in Fedellos do Couto. In this case, these are vineyards based on granite, slate and shale soils and located on slopes. The result is a wine that has not been aged in barrels, something that greatly respects its primary aromas with a dominance of floral notes and red berries. Herbal and incense notes emerge in its perfumed nose. The palate is fresh and fluid in the step.

This fine wine, generous in every sense, comes to us from the emblematic Emilio Hidalgo winery. This is a selection of boots from the La Panesa criadera. This family winery can boast of being in the historic center of Jerez de la Frontera. It is very intense on the nose and loaded with nuances where the note of fresh yeast, raw almond, oily and saline notes stands out. Its palate is full, enveloping and has an eternal finish.

Tomás Cusiné is the producer of this fresh, fruity wine with a light aging in the barrel that leaves the varietal aromas in the foreground. In this case we are talking about mountain viticulture, which enjoys a high altitude but without losing an iota of Mediterranean character. The wine also benefits from the cool nights of Les Garrigues. It is very balsamic, floral, with wild berries, aromatic herbs and some discreet hints of cocoa. The mouthfeel is juicy and fresh.

The vineyard of this fresh red wine boasts of being the highest on the European continent, at about 1,373 meters. Its grapes come from the Northwest region of Murcia and from La Carrasca and La Tinaja. It has a good concentration of fresh red fruit, field flowers, aromatic herbs, and smoky touches. The palate is fruity with a smooth but very well integrated tannin and its 12 months in used barrels give it more length in the finish.

Tasty, fresh wine with all the character of a good Rioja white, which has been aged in barrels and its potential for improvement and aging in the bottle is fabulous. We could talk about a good exponent of white with aging, which in this case has been for about nine months. It offers a balsamic, citrus expression, with green apple, aniseed and fine smoky touches. In the mouth it delights with its good acidity, nuanced by the sensations that it gives when passing through wood.

This aged wine has remained in different types of barrels and for different uses for a year, to offer us a classic wine that is much more than renewed. Intense cherry color and good layer. On the nose it is a very sincere expression of the Ribera with notes of ripe black and red fruit, sweet spices, fine toasted notes and some floral notes. In the mouth it pampers the palate with its freshness and balance. It is fruity and in the finish the toasted aromas ring out again.

This wine is a successful experiment, where a white wine is made from red grapes. It does not qualify for the Denomination of Origin because it is an unusual production, far from modern practices and it is produced with a red grape of minimal existence in the area. It is aged in 500 liter barrels until the next harvest. Its nose is exotic with apple, citrus, quince, apricots and dried fruits. The palate is enveloping, sapid and with an acidity that gives it freshness.
