The National Police have arrested three young people of Turkish and German nationality, aged 23 and 24, when they were trying to flee Spain from the Barcelona-El Prat airport on a plane bound for Germany after having dedicated themselves to drug trafficking with the use of companies. transport and parcel.

The National Police reported this Saturday in a statement that the detainees, who had no criminal record, sent relatively large quantities of drugs, among other countries, to Germany, Poland and Lithuania and that, so far, they have been removed from the market. illegal six packages already distributed with a combined weight of 46 kilos of marijuana, with an approximate value in the illicit market of about 90,000. The police emphasize in their statement that the price of marijuana can quadruple compared to Spain in the aforementioned countries, which gives greater importance to this operation.

The investigation into this case began last November, when the police, in collaboration with transport companies, detected a group of Turkish-German citizens who were trying to send several packages with marijuana that were vacuum-packaged and camouflaged inside bulky objects. , despite which they were detected.

The Narcotics Group of the Provincial Judicial Police Brigade of the National Police of Alicante, after this discovery by transport companies, began the first proceedings and seized the drugs and obtained information about the gang dedicated to its shipment. In this part of the operation carried out in Alicante, the agents obtained images of three men and the rented high-end vehicle that they used for their illegal activities.

The police then learned that those now detained had been acting since October and that they also made shipments from transport offices located in the province of Madrid, which allowed them to seize more packages of marijuana.

Based on the information collected then, the police defined a search and capture device for the three alleged owners of the drugs, an operation that revealed the intention of the three young people to flee Spain from the Barcelona airport.

With the participation of agents from the Josep Tarradellas airport police station in the Catalan capital, the police managed to locate the three young people and arrest them when they were trying to catch a plane to Germany. The detainees were brought before the judge in the Investigative Courts of El Prat de Llobregat (Barcelona).
