Groups of storks are still passing by on their migration to the north, after resting for the night in the region of Osona, they gather in the Despujol area, this small town that is part of the municipality of Les Masies de Voltregà, although it is close to Saint Hippolytus of Voltregà.

Many birds gather in the Meandre del Despujol, which for a while the storks have targeted. In the images that I share in La Vanguardia Readers’ Photos we see the storks in the field with the Despujol in the background, where the Les Masies de Voltregà Town Hall is located.

In the other photographs we see the storks embarking on the journey north with low clouds in the sky and in another image we see the Bellmunt sanctuary in the background.

The white stork (Ciconia ciconia) is a large species of bird. Its plumage is mostly white with black on the wings. And the legs and beak of adults acquire a red color.

It measures an average of 100 and 115 cm from the tip of the beak to the end of the tail, and its wings can reach a span between 155 and 215 cm.
