The Civil Guard is investigating the driver of an articulated vehicle that overtook another vehicle of similar dimensions in an area prohibited for that maneuver and with poor visibility, according to the worthy woman in a video published through her X account (formerly Twitter).
The driver, whom the force is now investigating for reckless driving, began overtaking in a darkened area, where it is not permitted to invade or initiate maneuvers of this type.
In addition, a continuous line had also been painted on the road, which no driver should cross, nor circulate on, nor go on the left when separating the two directions of traffic, recalls the General Directorate of Traffic (DGT).
The recklessness of the overtaking did not stop there. According to the Civil Guard publication, another car was traveling in the opposite direction. Both drivers escaped a head-on collision by just a few seconds.
Now, the meritorious authority is investigating this user for an alleged crime of reckless driving, which entails a fine of 500 euros and the deduction of 6 points from the driving license.
In parallel to this investigation, the force has shared the video through its social networks to raise awareness of the consequences of this type of reckless driving, which can cost the lives of others. And take the opportunity to send this message to the rest of the users: “Keep your head.”
