Starting this Tuesday, January 2, Valencians who wish to do so (a registration certificate is required) will be able to request the 2024 Travel Voucher to tour the Valencian Community. This year’s edition covers two annual periods, from January 16 to June 3, excluding Easter, and the second period that begins on October 15 until December 22 and introduces important new features.

The main ones focus on the number of minimum overnight stays to enjoy the bonus, on the eligible amounts, as well as on the periods in which the program will remain active. Thus, the trips will be made with a minimum of three nights, “because the intention is to promote consumption,” explained the Minister of Innovation, Industry, Commerce and Tourism, Nuria Montes. Regarding the eligible amounts, it has been established at a maximum of 50% of the reservation cost with a maximum amount of 350 euros. In the previous one it was 60% and up to 600 euros.

Montes explained that the 2024 Travel Bonus program aims to “favor deseasonalization and employment in the tourism sector”, and therefore some new features have been introduced with the aim of “reaching a greater number of beneficiaries”. Furthermore, he stressed that these developments “have been agreed upon with the entire tourism sector of the Valencian Community.”

The registration application will be submitted exclusively electronically at the electronic headquarters of the Generalitat, through the procedure created for this purpose. Information about these aids will be available on the website of the Comunitat Valenciana 2024 Travel Bonus program and access to the electronic office will be enabled for the registration request.

Registration must be carried out by completing the following two procedures. Firstly, a request for an appointment to make the registration request, a procedure that does not require an electronic signature.

Secondly, within the assigned day and time interval in the prior appointment, the request for registration of the Travel Voucher will be made. For this procedure, a certified signature and electronic signature are required.

The head of Turisme recalled that one of the priority objectives that the Department of Innovation, Industry, Commerce and Tourism has set is that the CV 2024 Travel Bonus “only serves to subsidize trips in the low season” and that is why Easter has was excluded.

This latest edition of the 2023 Travel Bonus, which began on January 16 and ended on December 22, has registered a total of 41,997 reservations and 54,700 released codes.

In reference to this annual balance, the average amount per reservation has been 635 euros, which has made it possible to mobilize this year 2023 more than 25 million euros in the tourism sector of the three provinces.

The ten most popular destinations in this edition were Benidorm, Calpe, Finestrat, Altea, Peñíscola, Valencia, Alicante, Morella, Elche and Dénia.
