With two days of 2024 already underway, normality has yet to return to the lives of many. Some work and educational areas will be able to enjoy additional holiday time, until after the Three Kings weekend. Others are already back in the routine, remembering with good or bad eyes the celebrations celebrated on New Year’s Eve. And the last night of the year is possibly one of the craziest, where the biggest parties are celebrated.
One of the most striking on the musical scene was that of Rosalía. The singer from Sant Esteve Sesrovires opted for a measured celebration at her home, with her friends and enjoying the chimes on Antena 3, where she could see Cristina Pedroche’s double dress. Not only that, but it also filled social networks with reactions to her featured activity: a karaoke of classic Spanish music songs.
Several Rosalía fan accounts, including the singer herself on her Instagram profile, shared the different songs that were sung last Sunday. Roses from La Oreja by Van Gogh, Como Camarón de Estopa, Y si fue ella by Alejandro Sanz, Amor bandido by Miguel Bosé, Sufre Mamón by Hombres G, El Farsante by Ozuna or Rakata by Wisin Y Yandel were some of the many songs that They were sung that morning.
Likewise, minutes before, the international artist shared with her Instagram followers one last resolution before closing 2023, one that caught their attention: “Purpose of the year: last sigarrito of the year. HAPPY 2024 CARISSS THANK YOU ALL FOR ALWAYS BEING THERE.” Over the last 12 months, the Catalan had appeared in several photographs smoking, some of them with the American actor James Allen White.
Some images that contradicted some words he spoke with Pablo Motos in El Hormiguero, in 2022. “Pablo, I don’t smoke. “This hummingbird voice couldn’t hold up,” were his statements. Since then, many of the singer’s fans questioned her change of opinion, while images with cigarettes appeared more frequently. They also questioned her relationship with White, knowing his history of alcohol problems.
Even so, the first photographs in which both were seen generated a multitude of striking reactions. “It’s not for nothing but we all know what those intertwined legs mean,” said one user. “I would affirm before a notary that these two are experiencing a very intense situation in which they are both emotionally unavailable,” read another response.
