The state of health of José Luis Gil continues to be one of the main current topics. The well-known actor has been immersed in the world of acting for more than four decades and his impeccable career has left us with some of the most iconic characters on the small screen such as Juan Cuesta in the series Here there is no one who lives or Enrique Pastor in La que se looms

But his life took a 180 degree turn more than two years ago. The interpreter suffered an ischemic stroke in November 2021, which forced him to remain hospitalized in the ICU for several days. Faced with this situation, the actor had to put his professional career on hold for a while to focus on his recovery.

Since then, the actor continues to stay away from the media spotlight and focus on his recovery. And although she has released little information about him, his daughter has been in charge of publicly reporting the actor’s health progress all this time.

”You ask me about my father, I thank you from the bottom of my soul, feeling so much affection is an honor. It’s hard to have to speak on his behalf, I wish he could respond to your messages,’ he wrote on his social networks. Furthermore, during all this time, many of the interpreter’s colleagues have come out publicly to send all their support to José Luis Gil. But it seems that these types of gestures have not been enough, as the actor’s daughter stated in a recent interview with Pronto magazine.

”I don’t think my father can go back to television. It was a very bad stroke, which has left him with serious consequences,’ he began by saying. This health problem has been a hard blow for the entire family, who as time goes by find it more difficult for the situation to improve. ”We have spoken with the neurologists, with the rehabilitation center and, although no one tells us that there is nothing to do, they do not suggest that the situation will be fixed,” he confessed.

Furthermore, the actor’s daughter assured that although her father has mobility problems, he recognizes everyone who comes to visit him. ”He finds out everything, but he has problems communicating,” she asserted.

But the interview has given much more of itself, and José Luis Gil’s daughter also wanted to throw a dart at many of the actors of La que se cerca, who shared so many moments on stage with her father. ”Many of his colleagues from ‘La que se cerca’ do not visit him. And José Luis is excited that they are going to see him, he is very happy, but they must be very busy,” the actor’s daughter acknowledged.
