The list of confirmed contestants for Dancing with the Stars, the new Telecinco format presented by Jesús Vázquez and Valeria Mazza, is taking more and more shape. There are already eight names that Mediaset has announced as part of the program, which will premiere next Saturday, January 13 in prime time, and whose last character to join has been the designer Josie.

In this way, the well-known stylist makes the leap to Mediaset from Atresmedia, where he has served as a participant and collaborator in programs such as Zapeando, El Hormiguero or Tu cara me sona. In addition, he was a contestant on MasterChef Celebrity on TVE during 2020 and starred in several subsequent appearances in the culinary competition.

It was this Thursday on the TardeAR program, also on Telecinco, where his identity was revealed and the designer’s first words were heard after announcing his participation in Dancing with the Stars. “Zero prepared, but very eager,” he said, laughing at the camera.

“The truth is that I haven’t danced much in recent years. I’ve been very stupid, I should have signed up for dancing before,” he said ironically, and then launched a poisoned dart at his previous television projects: “All the programs that I have made me older, but I believe this will rejuvenate me,” he said.

Dancing with the Stars arrives on the Telecinco grid thanks to Bulldog TV, a production company linked to Mediaset España, after a first journey on TVE during 2018 and in the midst of the public entity’s announcement of a similar format: Dance as you can.

With the addition of Josie to the official list of contestants, there are now eight celebrities confirmed by the communication group to be part of the program. Miguel Torres, Mala Rodríguez, Elena Tablada, Ágatha Ruiz de la Prada, Sheila Casas and Athenea Pérez will also be present in the competition, where they will work with various dancers and choreographers to demonstrate their skills before the jury.
