The German actor Christian Oliver and his two daughters have died in a plane crash in the Caribbean region, as reported by local police this Friday.

Oliver, who shared the screen with George Clooney in “Berlin Intrigue” and the action comedy “Meteor the Movie,” was aboard a single-engine plane with his two daughters on Thursday, according to the Royal St. Vincent Police Department. and the Grenadines in a statement.

The aircraft crashed into the Caribbean Sea shortly after takeoff. Fishermen, divers and the coast guard arrived at the scene of the tragedy, where four bodies were found.

Oliver, 51, died along with his daughters Madita, 10, and Annik, 12, as well as pilot Robert Sachs. The plane was traveling from Bequia, an island in the Grenadines archipelago, to Saint Lucia shortly after noon on Thursday.
