Three Kings’ Day left us in La Vanguardia’s Readers’ Photos this image of Pedraforca covered in white, although timidly, but floured as if it wanted to fully enter the coldest winter of snow.

The white crown has only taken shape in the highest part of this emblematic mountain of Catalonia, located within the area of ??the Cadí-Moixeró Natural Park and which serves as the boundary between the provinces of Barcelona and Lleida.

As can be seen in the image, Pedraforca has a very peculiar shape due to its two peaks separated by a large hill, which gives it its name.

The northern summit is composed of two peaks: the Pollegó Superior (2506 m) next to the Calderer (2505 m). The south is formed by Pollegó Inferior (2445 m).

The closest towns are Gósol and Saldes. In 1982, it was declared a natural site of national interest by the Parliament of Catalonia.
