On January 3, the Mossos d’Esquadra arrested a 29-year-old man who had a European Arrest and Surrender Order (OEDE) for his alleged relationship with the violent death of a 72-year-old woman in Italy, and passed on January 4 at judicial disposal before the National Court.
In a statement this Monday, they explained that the identification of the man occurred around 7:00 p.m. during a citizen security police check.
The agents, after checking his passport, found that he had an arrest warrant from the Italian authorities, and the man was taken to police stations where the information was certified.
The events occurred on June 23 in Conegliano (Italy), when “the detainee and two other men received the order from the victim’s ex-partner to kill her.”
One of them was arrested by the Italian police and the other is currently missing.
In addition, the victim’s ex-partner, who allegedly commissioned the crime, was also detained.
