The National Police is investigating the shooting death of a woman in her 40s in the middle of the street in the Madrid district of Puente de Vallecas, an event that is being investigated by Homicide Group VI.

Agents from the Violent Crimes Group (DEVI) of the Scientific Police have also traveled to the scene, the Madrid Police Headquarters has reported.

The events took place shortly before ten o’clock this Monday night on Lago de Maracaibo Street, where the woman was shot several times with a firearm that hit her in the left hemithorax.

According to what Madrid Emergency sources have informed EFE, the victim, a woman of about 40 years old, has gone into cardiorespiratory arrest and the resuscitation maneuvers carried out by Samur-Civil Protection health workers have had no effect.

After several minutes, the health workers certified the woman’s death.

A Samur psychologist has treated several relatives of the victim who were at the scene of the event, where a crowd of people had gathered.
