This Monday, Telecinco premiered its new musical contest starring celebrities and under the title of The New Generation. This innovative entertainment format, in addition to being presented by Lara Álvarez, has three teams that fight to prove that they make the best versions.
Marta Sánchez, Sole Giménez, Ana Morgade and Melody are some of the artists who participate with the sole objective of having a good time and for the public to have fun. The same one that her presenter has, who at the premiere sent an emotional message to the audience and even became the protagonist when she broke down after Melody’s performance.
“This program is such a gift to me that I try to lend myself to everything so that there are no filters. I feel at home with them. “I come to have fun, to add and to play.” This is how Lara Álvarez showed herself one week before the premiere of The New Generation during the presentation of the format to the press. Some words that she confirmed at the premiere, right at the beginning of the program.
“What a feeling of happiness there is on this set!” the Asturian began saying with a big smile on her face. “I want to confess something to you. For me, being here presenting this program is a dream come true,” said Álvarez. “I have been wanting to be part of a program like this for a long, long time. Today that dream comes true,” the journalist acknowledged enthusiastically.
And, then, he sent an emotional message to the audience: “And I assure you, truly, I give you my word that, from today onwards, I will do everything in my power for you who are here, for you who are in home, so that you can enjoy The Greatest Generation as I know I will.” The set burst into applause and the contest began.
A little later, and when Melody took the stage to cover the legendary And how is he?, by José Luis Perales, Lara Álvarez once again became the protagonist. She did it right at the end of the performer’s performance.
And the thing is, Melody got the presenter extremely emotional and burst into tears live. “My goodness, Melody, what we just experienced here,” the presenter told the singer as they hugged and the former tried to stop her tears from falling anymore.
“And I’m not the only one, huh? Raise your hand if you are not crying, brave people,” said the Asturian, very impressed by the artist’s flow of voice, but above all by that emotion transmitted in each note.
