According to a statement made public this Tuesday by Lucasfilm, The Mandalorian and Grogu will come to the cinema after the success of the series The Mandalorian, which already has three seasons. Thus, Favreau will also be a producer of this new adventure of the Mandalorian (starring Pedro Pascal) and little Yoda along with Kathleen Kennedy and Dave Filoni.

The Mandalorian and Grogu will headline Lucasfilm’s current slate of feature films in development, which includes films directed by Sharmeen Obaid-Chinoy, James Mangold and Dave Filoni, who is also currently developing the second season of Ahsoka, among others.
