The Mossos d’Esquadra have arrested two 19-year-old men, one this Tuesday and the other this Wednesday, for allegedly violently robbing a man in a wheelchair in Reus (Tarragona).

According to the police in a statement this Thursday, on January 7 the victim had just withdrawn money from an ATM in the city center when one of the detainees approached him and overturned his chair during the struggle.

While the victim was injured on the ground, the alleged thief allegedly stole her purse and medication, while the other kept watch.

The Catalan police have added that on December 31 they already arrested the alleged perpetrator of these events for the violent theft of a cell phone from a woman in the same town.

Both detainees have been brought to justice in front of the Reus Guard Court.
