Comedian Manu Sánchez is slowly resuming his life, almost a year after he was diagnosed with testicular cancer, for which he had to receive several sessions of chemotherapy.
His reappearance came from the hand of Canal Sur, where he rang the end of the year bells with the soccer player Olga Carmona. Later, she returned to the set of Tierra de Talento, but it was not until now that she spoke about her illness.
“They put bags of poison through my veins for five or six hours, and I saw how they changed them and how they entered my body. That made your hair fall out, you vomited, your own saliva tasted like mud, and no food “, not even a glass of water, tasted like anything other than a strange mixture between metal and shit…”, he explained in an interview at COPE.
Throughout this process, he has always had the support of his partner Lorena, for whom he only has words of gratitude. “At the moment when I was most disgusted, my wife came into bed, hugged me, gave me a kiss and told me ‘it may be me, but I see you more handsome than ever,'” the comedian recalled.
That reaction from his partner has made him reflect a lot, he says, to the point of ensuring that “true love exists.” “I saw her look at me with desire and she made me realize that her hugs were real,” she says in statements to this medium.
A reciprocated love, because, as the Andalusian explained, if he were not there, he only wanted Lorena to rebuild her life “with a great uncle”, because he would be in charge of taking care of her children.
