We are in winter, the favorite for snow sports lovers. Thus, it is time to make plans, dust off the equipment, choose the most suitable destination and hit the road with one of these 5 ideal campers for skiing.

The advantages of doing it in a vehicle of this type are many, but the most important is the possibility of parking your house on wheels next to the slopes. Spanish ski resorts have stepped up and all of them offer specific spaces for overnight stays, or simply allow it without restrictions. There are some ski resorts that are more suitable for camping. Staying there avoids the early morning traffic jams.

Logically, saving is another key point of traveling by camper to ski. Peak seasons in winter, as happens on the beach in summer, are a challenge for families and couples who go up to the mountains from time to time. With your mobile home you will not only have an apartment on the coast, but also in the ski resorts or wherever you go. Below, we present a selection of five camper models ideal for going to the snowy mountains.

The CaraBus 630 MEG from Weinsberg is an ideal camper for adventurers in general. It measures 6.36 meters long, 2.05 m wide and 2.82 m high and its sealed trunk or garage is so large that it can fit a couple of large motorcycles, field or road. It can also become a key space for a couple’s ski or snowboard equipment, with a good supply of cabinets to distribute the objects.

It has a load capacity of 520 kilograms and, just above it, the large double bed is located. The only but is the bathroom, which is somewhat small compared to the rest of the alternatives in this ranking. Its price is around 66,000 euros.

It is the most sophisticated and versatile camper from the Slovenian firm, in addition to having all the luxury details provided by the Supreme equipment. The Adria Twin Supreme Sport 640 SGX is the camper that every traveling sportsman would want, who enjoys nature both in summer and winter.

Its price is not for any pocket, as it costs around 90,000 euros, but you could say that it is worth it. It measures 6.36 meters long by 2.05 m wide and 2.58 m high. It has two beds, one on the lifting roof measuring 1.45 x 1.96 and another transverse bed measuring 1.95 x 1.96 in the rear area.

It is this last bed, which goes up and down electrically, that is the key to the Adria SGX. Thanks to this system, you can transport all types of sports equipment in a trunk that adapts to your needs. If you prefer, you can leave the bed down or reduce the distance to the ceiling and place motorcycles, bicycles or the whole family’s ski equipment.

4×4 traction is important if you are going to travel to the mountains, but Spanish roads are usually prepared for all types of vehicles. If you are one of those who prefers freedom above all, without giving up the comfort and luxury of a premium brand, the Hymer ML-T CrossOver are your large volume camper.

We met them at the International Caravaning Show and their price, with the all-wheel drive of the Mercedes-Benz Sprinter, exceeds 140,000 euros. It measures 6.89 meters long, 2.22 m wide and 3.05 m high. To its off-road capabilities, we must add an interior at the level of any five-star hotel, with twin beds available in the layout and a large bathroom to take the necessary time underwater. Thanks to a 120 liter clean water tank, autonomy will not be a problem.

We never tire of talking about this unique camper, previously presented as a prototype and which we saw, in person, during the Barcelona International Caravaning Show. Its size is imposing, but its interior is what makes it a truly unique model.

As with the ML-T, 4×4 capabilities are ensured thanks to the contribution of the Mercedes-Benz Sprinter chassis, but the creation of the home on wheels is Hymer’s. The cabin is divided into two rooms, with the bedroom on an upper floor thanks to the elevating roof, which is accessed via stairs.

The living space is downstairs, with a dining-living room with a terrace, a state-of-the-art kitchen and an extendable bathroom that gives greater space to the shower. The design is its strong point, the autonomy provided by the solar panel on the roof (115 kW) is the definitive reason for its purchase. Of course, only if you have more than 236,000 euros.

It was one of the first to become known as a factory product, designed and developed by MAN. The TGE chassis is the first good sign of this 4×4 camper, but not the only one. Camperization by Norantz is key to opting for any of the proposals: lifting roof or hard roof.

It is available for 2 or 4 people, with 140 HP or 180 HP engines and front or all-wheel drive. Its price will vary depending on countless decisions, but it will hardly go below the 90,000 euros that we see in units currently for sale.

The distribution does not have any distinctive details, beyond the large trunk provided by placing the transverse bed at a medium height. In this way, we can carry all the necessary luggage for skiing and take advantage of the upper closets for clothes, household items and other objects.
