Civil Guard agents have arrested three people of Spanish nationality who allegedly intended to rob a bank branch in the town of Villanueva de Gállego, in the province of Zaragoza, on Monday morning.
Apparently, those arrested belong to a group specialized in robberies with intimidation that was preparing to carry out a hit at a La Caixa store in the aforementioned Zaragoza town, where a large deployment of security agents has been recorded.
The operation, which has been declared confidential, has been directed by agents of the Valencia Civil Guard. According to Efe, the follow-up work carried out by the investigators has made it possible to thwart the robbery at the moment when the assailants, all three of Spanish nationality and previously identified during the investigations, were preparing to access the bank branch.
