Jenna Ortega is slowly establishing herself in the American television industry. And although many will remember her – or know her – for her role as Wednesday in Tim Burton’s series of the same name, the young 21-year-old actress was already showing promise in the fifth part of Scream, the second part of You and in the horror comedy The Babysitter. : Killer Queen.

But it was Tim Burton’s series that catapulted her to international fame and put her on the lips of all critics for her great performance and also for her impeccable style on the red carpets. For these 2024 Emmy Awards, the actress did not leave anyone indifferent with a dress that moved away from the gothic glam aesthetic that characterized her so much this last year.

The black lace had been transformed into a delicate and feminine ballerina-like dress signed by Dior that incorporated a corset in the upper part and an inner frame in the skirt to give it that characteristic shape of the 16th and 17th centuries. The beige midi dress was embellished with floral motifs and she accessorized it with a pair of glitter-embellished triangle-toe pumps.

Before the gala, Ortega was asked about the dress in question, and the interpreter wanted to highlight all that work that so often goes unnoticed. “There is a lot of work put into this dress. It is completely sewn by hand, in fact it took them around 600 hours. “I’m very nervous, it’s like a work of art and I don’t want to spoil it.”

When asked if she was afraid to sit in the armchair, due to the large dimensions of the dress, Ortega responded with her classic voracious humor. “It doesn’t scare me, it just makes me a little nervous. But my plan is to use it as a table. For the water, the handbag, whatever,” he concluded before heading to the ceremony.
