The president of the Community of Madrid, Isabel Díaz Ayuso, has once again questioned the legality of EH Bildu, arguing that “ETA’s story is winning” due to “the meekness of a president of the Government handed over to the separatists.” “Now that ETA was in agony and cornered without a euro, the PSOE wants to sell us as men of peace to its political terminal, the same one that should be taken to the Supreme Court.”

It is not the first time that Ayuso suggests the illegalization of EH Bildu. In fact, in October, in the middle of the round of negotiations for the investiture of Pedro Sánchez, the Madrid leader appealed to “use all judicial resources” to prevent the nationalist formation from deciding “the future of Spain.”

And now he has dusted off the debate again to criticize the Government’s “obsession” against Madrid. “What was ETA looking for? Expulsion of the annoying, public money, power and Navarra. And they are on the right path” (…) “Spain is being extorted by nationalist minorities” and “the interests of Spain and the Spanish people are being scrapped to return favors to each other,” he lamented after denouncing the lack of investment by the Executive in the Community.

Ayuso has not forgotten Junts in his criticism and has harshly criticized the boost that Sánchez is giving to Catalan separatism: “I remember that when no one was talking about Puigdemont anymore, when he was only able to gather 1.6% of the votes , the PSOE has made him stronger than ever.”

For all these reasons, during a Europa Press breakfast briefing, he accused the head of the Executive of “buying” the Catalan elections “with everyone’s money” for his transfers to Junts per Catalunya and ERC. “What doesn’t Puigdemont think of the president who has gone from wanting to put him in jail and accuse his party of being xenophobic, to going to Waterloo to ask for her hand?” he asked, slipping that the Catalan nationalists are not in such a hurry to have Catalonia outside Spain as well as Spain outside Catalonia.
