The man arrested as the alleged perpetrator of the murder of the three brothers from the Madrid town of Morata de Tajuña was sentenced to two years in prison for attacking one of the deceased, but was released since he had no criminal record. As reported by the Superior Court of Justice of Madrid (TSJM), D.H.F.C., the 43-year-old Pakistani citizen was arrested on February 24, 2023 as the alleged perpetrator of a crime of injuries.
According to sources close to the investigation, the arrested person rented a room in the house of the deceased and attacked Amelia with a hammer. The neighbors claim that the brothers owed them 60,000 euros. Due to these events, the Court of First Instance and Instruction number 3 of Arganda del Rey ordered that he be placed in provisional detention with notice and without bail, a resolution subsequently confirmed by the Provincial Court of Madrid, the Superior Court of Justice reported this Monday.
Once the investigation was concluded, the case was tried by the Criminal Court number 2 of Alcalá de Henares, which on February 12 sentenced the defendant to two years in prison and prohibited him from approaching closer than 500 meters and communicating with the victim for two years. and a half, a qualification proposed by the Prosecutor’s Office and to which the defense adhered. Once the sentence became final, the defense requested the benefit of suspension of the execution of the custodial sentence, to which none of the parties opposed. It was granted because he met the legally required budgets for the granting of the benefit, since he had no criminal record and had assumed the commitment to pay the civil liabilities declared in the sentence, of 2,900 euros.
The Court granted him the suspension of the sentence under the requirement that he not commit a crime for two years and six months and pay compensation to the victim.
D.H.F.C turned himself in this morning at the Civil Guard offices in the town of Arganda del Rey, acknowledging his participation in the triple homicide of Amelia, Ángeles and Pepe, aged about 70 years. However, sources close to this statement admit to EFE that the arrested person made inconsistencies in his account of the events.
The main hypothesis that the Homicide agents were handling is a possible settling of accounts for the debts that these relatives had contracted with some acquaintances. The two sisters had supposedly become bankrupt after being victims of a love scam and asked their loved ones and neighbors for money on a recurring basis.
At this time, the man is detained in the Rivas-Vaciamadrid barracks as the alleged perpetrator of a crime of intentional homicide for the three deaths, the aforementioned sources have indicated. Civil Guard agents are expected to search this afternoon the detainee’s home, located in Arganda del Rey, as part of the investigations within the framework of the so-called Operation Calvario, whose name coincides with the street where the murdered people lived. Calvary Crossing.
The bodies of the three deceased were found burned, piled up and with traces of blood around 11:30 a.m. last Thursday.
