Jamie Dronan, actor known for Fifty Shades of Grey, has suffered a major setback while on vacation in Portugal. The artist had to be taken to a hospital when he began to feel symptoms that pointed to a heart attack after a caterpillar bite.
The 41-year-old model had a huge scare while he was spending a few days with his great friend Gordon Smart. A vacation that ended up being choked. And it was the presenter himself who revealed what happened on his Good Morning Britain program.
It all happened after the actor had contact with the insect during a few casual rounds on a golf course. Something that caused several numbness in his body. According to Gordon, Jamie Dornan began experiencing tingling in his left hand and arm. In turn, he had a very high heart rate. Symptoms that made one think of a possible heart attack.
When they returned to the hotel, the actor was still feeling unwell, something that worried him. As soon as he went to the hospital it was clear: “It turned out that some processionary caterpillars had brushed him, so he was lucky to come out okay.” And these insects have a toxicity that creates these symptoms.
The actor’s companion also suffered the same ailments, which made the scare even greater. Something that comes at a good professional moment for Jamie Dornan. The artist has been chosen as the new global ambassador of the Loewe brand. For this reason, he has also traveled to Paris with his wife Amelia Warner to attend a fashion show for the brand. An act in which he was seen fully recovered.
And it is at that same event where numerous well-known faces who have nothing to do with each other coincided and which has surprised many. In addition to the actor, Andrew Garfield, Taylor Russell, Joe Alwyn, Manu Ríos, C. Tangana and Jaime de Marichalar, among others, were present.
“Having watched many of Jamie’s films and followed his work closely, we kept him in mind when we thought about a new ambassador for Loewe,” revealed Jonathan Anderson, creative director of the brand. “I’ve always liked how her performances embody a feeling of strength that feels very pure and organic,” he added.
But it is not the only professional project he has in hand. Jamie Dornan is immersed in the upcoming premiere of the second season of The Tourist on HBO Max. A new delivery that is scheduled for January 24 and that promises to be more powerful than the first.
