The until now deputy spokesperson for Vox and ‘number 2’ in the 28M elections, José Ruiz Bartolomé, has left the Madrid Assembly and has returned to private activity, according to the party in a statement in which the leader of the formation, Rocío Monasterio, has thanked him for his trust.

“I conceive the vocation of public service back and forth. My trip in the Madrid Assembly ends and I return to the private sector, where I will defend the same principles,” the parliamentarian has transferred on his social networks.

The departure of number 2 has come before that of Rocío Monasterio herself, who was placed outside the orbit of the party after the departure of her partner, Iván Espinosa de los Monteros, after the general elections of 23-J.

The remodeling of positions that is taking place in Vox – and in which the current, and very small, national leadership is prioritizing the most ultra profiles under the leadership of Jorge Buxadé – has laminated the group of “liberals” of which Monasterio and whose current situation is one of “maximum loneliness”, as some of his collaborators have pointed out in the corridors of the Madrid Assembly.

Ruiz Bartolomé has been one of the main faces of Vox in the Vallecas Chamber. In recent months he has given the press conference after the Board of Spokespersons the times that Monasterio has had commitments that have prevented him from doing so.

The until now deputy entered the regional parliament in 2019 and has been part of the Permanent Deputation of the Madrid Assembly, in addition to serving as Spokesperson in commissions such as Radiotelevisión Madrid, Avalmadrid, Economy, Budgets and Housing, the latter being his specialty in come from the real estate sector.

On 28M after being designated ‘number 2’, the party presented him as an executive with “solid financial, commercial and operational experience” and highlighted that he had worked in the real estate sector both on his own and as an employee. Likewise, they highlighted their “extensive dissemination and communication work in the real estate sector.”
