The victims ended up admitted to the Santa Caterina Hospital in Salt due to the injuries they suffered. According to sources close to the case, the events took place around 4 p.m. in an isolated house, located in the area adjacent to the neighboring town of Vilablareix.

The couple, between 60 and 70 years old, had gone out to eat and were returning to their home. Just as they were deactivating the alarm, three individuals, who were apparently waiting for them, jumped on them and asked them to open the safe.

The three assailants, equipped with balaclavas and gloves, searched the entire house and took the woman to the bedroom where they tied her with ropes and belts, hit her on the head and caused open wounds on her hands, and also tied up and attacked her husband. .

A few hours later, the husband managed to untie himself and go out to ask for help, still with plastic handcuffs on his wrists, and bleeding from the wounds caused by the thieves. It was then that a person passing through the Vilablareix industrial estate saw him and immediately alerted the 112 emergency telephone number.

The Mossos went to the house to carry out a visual inspection and collect all possible evidence and clues to identify the perpetrators of the assault. For their part, members of the Medical Emergency System (SEM) performed the first treatments on the couple and took them to the Santa Caterina Hospital in Salt, where they were both admitted, although the woman was able to be discharged on Monday and the husband the same day. following.
