Actor Miguel Bernardeau has always tried to keep a low profile. It has not been a simple goal, especially since it was learned that he had a romantic relationship with the singer Aitana Ocaña, with whom he came to star in the series La Última. The breakup came after four years of dating, a separation that was not easy for the interpreter, who has spoken for the first time about the matter.

“I went down to hell, so to speak, and from there I have fallen in love with my profession again because it is what has helped me regain my enthusiasm,” Bernardeau explains in an interview in Esquire.

The actor reaches this conclusion after a trip to Mauritius, a country in the Indian Ocean, known for its paradisiacal beaches, lagoons and reefs. “It was a personal moment in which he was escaping. It was very hard,” he confesses.

Bernardeau remembers that he was escaping “from a very public breakup,” in reference to the singer, with whom he has had a relationship for more than four years.

The click came after a dive to see whales. “I remember going down to about 25 meters deep and the whale’s daughter and I were alone, she was moving. I looked in one of her eyes, she looked at me and the look was panic. I came out of the water crying. There You learn, and I know this has been said a lot, that you are less important than you think,” he responds to this magazine.

The actor assures that this experience has helped him redirect his life and career. “I spent the hour back in the car after being with the whale crying my eyes out. It was an emotional moment in which I was very sensitive. That’s when I found what was happening to me,” he remembers.
