The 44th edition of Fitur has received a total of 250,000 attendees, of which 153,000 have been professionals and more than 97,000 visitors who have attended the two days open to the public (Saturday 27 and Sunday 28). These figures represent an increase of 13.7% compared to 2023.

The fair has highlighted that the event has broken the exhibition surface record, with a total of nine pavilions, one more than in 2023, as well as the consolidation of its global influence with 152 countries and 96 official country participations, 20 more than in 2023. In total, 9,000 companies, 806 regular exhibitors, 10 monographic sections of segments and the work carried out by the FiturNext Observatory have participated.

Fitur advances that the influx of arrivals generates income of 430 million euros in Madrid. Likewise, he praises the “strong” institutional support received, which began with the support of the Royal Family for the tourism industry, with the presence of Kings Felipe VI and Letizia.

The event was attended by prominent leaders such as the president of Ecuador, Daniel Noboa, which this year was the Partner Country of the International Tourism Fair.

In addition, he has received an official visit from the President of the Government, Pedro Sánchez; the Prime Minister of Albania, Edi Rama; representatives of UN Tourism together with its secretary general, Zurab Pololikashvili, the Ibero-American secretary general, as well as more than ten regional presidents of Spain.

In total, the Fair has brought together more than 400 authorities including ministers, secretaries of State, ambassadors, business managers and mayors from different regions.

In the social media environment, during the first two days of Fitur, a growth of 10,602 followers has been recorded on Facebook, X, LinkedIn and Instagram, reaching a total community of 311,341 followers. The nearly 860 posts published have reached more than 6.5 million impressions and 83,000 interactions.
