Technology is supposed to make people’s lives easier. However, there are times when it is a great source of frustration because it does not work as it should. Legends like David Bowie are not exempt from this type of problem, who before dying had a great anger with his computer.

Gary Oldman, one of his great friends, has been in charge of revealing this funny episode that they both shared in a Skype video call in 2016, days before the singer died from liver cancer. As the actor said on CBS’ The Drew Barrymore Show, a technical failure caused Bowie to explode.

According to Oldman’s testimony, in the last conversation they had, the singer was visibly irritated at not being able to finish the video call due to connection problems. As a result of this frustration, Bowie could not suppress his anger and launched a fuck off at the computer. This outburst was the last thing Oldman could hear from his friend’s mouth, although it is an anecdote that makes him smile.

This genuine spirit, as Oldman explained to The Telegraph, was even reflected in how Bowie told him of his cancer diagnosis. Apparently, the singer began the email with a sense of humor: “I have good news, I have bad news.” The bad news was that he had “the big C,” referring to cancer, while the good news was that he had “recovered his cheekbones.”

In this same interview, Oldman also showed his great admiration for Bowie’s attitude. Faced with a situation as complicated as liver cancer, the singer chose to face this disease with dignity, grace and a sharp sense of humor.
