Isabel Pantoja has signed a contract with the Presidency Department of the Cabildo de Gran Canaria for which she will pocket the exorbitant figure of 160,500 euros with taxes, according to local newspaper Canarias7. The agreement establishes that the singer will have to promote the image and brand of the island in all of her concerts.
From the local government, they justify the disbursement. “It is something normal, the artist’s cachet, her media impact and the economic return have been valued,” explains the Presidency Advisor of the insular corporation, Teodoro Sosa, in statements reported by this medium.
According to the specifications, the Cabildo thus becomes one of the sponsors of the tour, which will tour the main tours of the country to celebrate the successful musical career of the tonadillera.
Among other commitments, the Sevillian assumes that, at each stop on the tour, she must share on her social networks a video of the brand ‘The island of my life’, a campaign designed to promote Gran Canaria.
In addition, the video will have to be projected before the celebration of each of the concerts. Specifically, three times from the opening of the doors until the singer takes the stage.
This agreement does not include the delivery of a house on the island for the singer, as some media outlets have pointed out in recent days. “Is it in the contract? No. It’s speculation and nonsense,” says Sosa.
